THE POLICE Regional Office XI (PRO XI) maintains that the presence of all uniformed PNP personnel at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound is justified and adheres to PNP operational procedures.
This statement came after videos and photos surfaced showing seven individuals dressed as police officers entering the compound on Thursday evening.
“The presence of all PNP personnel in uniform at the KOJC compound is justified, proper, and in full compliance with PNP Operational Procedures,” said Lt Col Jerick Filosofo, the spokesperson of Special Task Group Teknon Alpha when asked on Friday after videos and photos from the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
“The actions, behaviors, and appearance of the officers involved are integral components of the strategic measures and plans necessary for the effective execution of arrest warrants,” Filosopo said.
“These activities are conducted with the aim of ensuring public safety and upholding the rule of law,” he added.
However, KOJC lawyer Atty. Israelito Torreon questioned the incident and expressed concern over possible ill intentions.
A video provided to the media reportedly shows two individuals dressed as police officers, but not actual officers, being escorted by Col. Serrano[as Identified] and stopped by KOJC members.
Additionally, five other individuals in police uniforms were reportedly seen entering the JMC basement.
On Friday morning, KOJC also filmed a young boy leaving the compound wearing a PNP athletic uniform and a backpack.
“Could this be the ‘victim’ of human trafficking that they will claim to have rescued from the tunnel they’re digging under the JMC basement?” Torreon questioned.
The incident has further heightened tensions between the KOJC and the PNP amidst the ongoing search for Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and other co-accused individuals.
Moreover, the Philippine National Police (PNP) will conduct a verification regarding the circulating photos of a young boy and adults wearing PNP athletic uniforms within the KOJC compound.
