SSS-Davao Ilustre relocates, more inclusive space for clients

THE SOCIAL Security System (SSS)  Davao-Ilustre Branch officially moved to its new location in Oakwood Pines Acreage Corp. Building along San Pedro Street (near LandBank) on Aug. 8, 2024.

In an interview, Dennis Calo, SSS-Mindanao South 1 Division acting senior communication analyst, said the new location will provide a more conducive space for transacting clients and convenience to persons with disabilities (PWDs) and senior citizens.

“The reason is to provide a more conducive space for our transacting clients and also the new location is PWD and Senior Citizen Friendly since it is located along a major thoroughfare,” Calo said.

He said the new branch location could accommodate an average of 500 clients daily.

“The branch is equipped with an E-Center and Mobile App Learning Facilities to accommodate members’ online services transactions,” he added.

SSS also recently opened a service office in Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, serving the neighboring municipalities of Compostela, Mawab, New Bataan, Montevista, Monkayo, New Corella, and other nearby areas.

“SSS Nabunturan will be serving a projected population of 405,816 in the Province of Davao de Oro, as they no longer need to travel at least 33 kilometers or less than an hour to transact business with SSS Tagum Branch,” SSS-Min South 1 Division vice president Mary Ellen Estoque said in a statement.
