More than 1,000 patients in Barangay Binuangan, Maco, Davao de Oro and Cabantian, Davao City received free medicines and medical services from SM Foundation, Inc. and its partner agencies.
As part of its mission to make quality healthcare accessible, SM Foundation, Inc. (SMFI) partnered with BDO Network Bank, JCI Davaoeña Daba-Daba, JCI Panabo, and other local government agencies in extending free medicines, vitamins, and other mobile medical services to 537 patients in Barangay Binuangan, Maco, Davao de Oro on May 20.
A total of 465 residents of Cabantian in Davao City, including members of the Sama tribe, also availed similar services in a separate medical mission conducted by SMFI in partnership with the AMSAI Mindanao-Cabantian Campus and the Eastern Mindanao Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines on May 21.

Some services offered during the two-day medical missions included free medical checkups, medicines, vitamins, blood tests, dental services, chest x-rays, and ECG.
SM Lanang and SM City Davao employees, through the support of its Human Resources Department, also volunteered during both activities and had the opportunity to experience the joy of helping communities.
Since its inception, SMFI has been able to serve more than 1.2 Million Filipinos through several medical missions conducted across the Philippines.
