SM Foundation serves essential medical services to over 1,000 Davaoeños

A total of 485 residents availed free medical services in SM Foundation’s medical mission in Asuncion, Davao del Norte.

With continued commitment to make quality healthcare accessible, SM Foundation, in collaboration with different social good partners, mounted medical missions in SM City Davao on March 12 and Asuncion, Davao del Norte on March 13.

A total of 733 Davaoeños availed free medical services during the one-day activity at The Annex Event Center, SM City Davao while 485 residents in Asuncion, Davao del Norte accessed healthcare essentials in the recent medical mission.

The activity covers the provision of free medical checkup, medicines, vitamins, blood tests, dental, chest x-ray, and ECG.

The medical mission in SM City Davao also included the bloodletting campaign in partnership with DMIRIE Foundation and Philippine Red Cross. This registered 279 blood donors and gathered 837 bags of lifesaving blood components, comprised of red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

In partnership with different social good partners, a total of 733 Davaoeños availed essential medical services in the one-day medical mission at SM City Davao.

The one-day activity in Davao City was in collaboration with SM City Davao, City Health Office, DMIRIE Foundation, Philippine Red Cross, Bureau of Fire Protection Davao, Camp Panacan Station Hospital in Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Philippine Navy and Philippine Coast Guard.

The medical mission in Asuncion, Davao del Norte was mounted in partnership with the Municipal Government of Asuncion and Asuncion National High School Batch ‘81 and ’82.

Since its inception, SM Foundation Health and Medical programs already served over 1.2 million Filipinos from its medical missions across the country. /PR
