SENATOR Bong Go has once again clarified the circulating rumors about the death of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a social media post on Wednesday night, the senator shared a photo of Duterte sitting and eating at a table with the caption “alive and eating.” Duterte’s partner, Honeylet Avanceña, was also seen in the photo.
With this, the official denied the rumors of FPRRD’s (Former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) passing.
This comes after Duterte’s appearance at the recent Maisug Prayer Rally, where he was seen walking with apparent difficulty on stage, sparked numerous reactions on social media.
Last month, similar rumors about the former president’s death surfaced but were promptly addressed by his close friend, Senator Bong Go.
Go reiterated his reminder to the public to avoid spreading false information, especially about someone’s death, as it is not a laughing matter and can cause unnecessary distress.
The spread of fake news about the deaths of prominent individuals has been a longstanding issue, with many celebrities falling victim to such rumors.
