SEC Davao to accept online payments only starting Feb. 1

DAVAO CITY — The Securities and Exchange Commission-Davao Extension Office (SEC-DEO) has reminded its clientele that it will close its cashier section starting February 1.

The shift to online payments is in line with the zero-contact policy and automation of business-related transactions mandated by Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

Among the policies under Republic Act No. 11032 is the shift to online payment sys

tems for government transactions.

On December 14, 2022, the Commission announced through a notice that payments will only accepted through the Electronic System for Payments to the SEC (eSPAYSEC) at https://espaysec.sec.gov.ph/payment-portal/home, or at any branch of the Land Bank of the Philippines starting February 1.

In 2021, the SEC launched the eSPAYSEC, an online platform that allows for the payment of registration and other transaction fees, as well as penalties, online and using debit and credit cards, digital wallets and other cashless payment options.
