Scheduled power interruptions on Feb. 22 and 24 in Davao City and Davao del Norte

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct scheduled power interruptions on Feb. 22 and 24, 2025, Saturday and Monday affecting customers in different parts of Davao City and Davao del Norte.

The first schedule is necessary to facilitate line relocation works as requested by DPWH. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 15 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 15 minutes anytime between 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24.

Customers affected by these service disruptions are those from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall and SP Building, portions of Pichon Street and Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas.

In connection, a 45-minute power interruption will be conducted anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, and a 1-hour power interruption will be facilitated which will start anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24. Specifically affected are those in the entire Maa area, Diversion Road to Jade Valley, Juliville to Tigatto, Mandug, Callawa, Indangan, and all neighboring areas, and those along Diversion Road to Bean Xpress Matina Pangi Diversion and neighboring areas.

The last set of power interruptions is necessary to return loads to their normal set-up after the preventive maintenance works at Panacan Substation. A 45-minute power outage will be conducted anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24 affecting customers from the entire Panacan area to Diversion Road F. Bangoy Airport entrance, Daang Maharlika Highway to Tibungco Public Market including Mudiang areas, DBCOM, New Davao Oil Mill, Holcim Office, Unifrutti, Ferro Steel, Panacan Public Market, Camp Panacan, San Miguel Panacan, Malagamot and nearby areas.

Also affected are those in Tibungco area from Bottle King up to Tibungco Public Market including La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation, Ilang areas, and nearby environs, from Tibungco Bottle King Enterprises to Davao Light Don Ramon Substation, Bunawan including Buhisan Elementary School, and Pampanga areas from Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa,  Km 10 to 13 Sasa, and corner DPWH.

Another 45-minute power interruption will be conducted anytime between 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24. Specifically affected are those from Buhisan Elementary School, Krudohan Budbod, Regan Industrial Sales Inc., Lumad Kapehan and Seafood Grill, BMC Corporation, San Francisco Elementary School, McDonald’s Panabo, and nearby areas.

Also affected are those from Tibungco area from Bottle King up to Tibungco Public Market including La Filipina Uy Gongco Corporation, Ilang area, and nearby environs, from Tibungco Bottle King Enterprises going to Davao Light Don Ramon Substation, Bunawan including Buhisan Elementary School, Licanan TF Davao, Lasang, JP Laurel Elementary School, Panabo City Hall, Gredu Poblacion, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
