During Habi at Kape on May 29, CTTMO chief Dionisio Abude initially announced they would close roads for the Pride Parade and Fiesta sa San Pedro Paghiusayaw on June 29.

However, Abude said the rest of the events do not entail road closure since they will be held in Rizal Park, USEP gym, and Almendras Gym.

A total of 3224 personnel will be deployed to secure the festivities from June 21 to 30, Angel Sumagaysay, Public Safety and Security Office chief said during the iSpeak Media Forum on June 6.

Sumagaysay said the average daily deployment for the nine-day celebration is 460 stationed in various points of convergence.

The Pride Parade is one of the activities for the Duaw Davao 2024 that are in line with the annual celebration of Pride Month in support of the LGBTQIA+ community. This includes Pride sports fest from June 21 to 23 in Almendras Gym, Reyna ng Davao Coronation Night at USEP Gym on June 22, 5 p.m.
