QCU youth voters attend NEWGEN Rocks! Voter Education Seminar

QUEZON CITY  – PUBLiCUS Asia Inc., in collaboration with Quezon City University (QCU), hosted the highly anticipated NEWGEN Rocks 2025! Voter Education Seminar on Feb. 7, 2025. This initiative aimed to empower young voters and promote active participation in the upcoming 2025 National and Local Elections.

The seminar began with inspiring welcome remarks from QCU University president Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, who emphasized the critical role of youth in shaping the nation’s future.

Approximately 500 QCU youth voters attended the event. Alfred Petterwelch Lacbayo, a senior technical analyst at PUBLiCUS Asia and a political management practitioner, led the voter education seminar. He provided valuable insights on the importance of voting, understanding the electoral process, and making informed choices at the ballot box. An interactive Q&A session offered practical tips on critically evaluating candidates and platforms, equipping participants to become responsible and informed voters.

PUBLiCUS Asia founder and CEO Malou N. Tiquia expressed her gratitude to QCU for their support and highlighted the crucial role of young voters. She remarked, “Maraming salamat sa QCU. Parati nga naming sinasabi na ang bagong henerasyon ang bagong dugo sa ating demokrasya. Kailangan kayong bumoto… Tandaan niyo – pag sinabing ‘New Generation Rocks,’ the only whiff of fresh air in any democracy ay kayo.”

QCU Student Affairs Unit director Merly P. Dela Cruz also thanked PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. for organizing the seminar and commended the students’ enthusiastic participation. As a gesture of appreciation, PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. presented QCU with a Certificate of Appreciation and a token of gratitude, underscoring their shared commitment to voter education and civic engagement. Participants received tokens such as political diaries and NEWGEN Rocks! stickers.

To conclude the event, Mr. Jericho F. Sucgang, president of the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers-QCU Student Chapter, delivered a rousing call to action, encouraging his peers to embrace their civic duties in the upcoming elections.

PUBLiCUS Asia Inc. extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, speakers, and organizers who contributed to making the NEWGEN Rocks 2025! Voter Education Seminar a resounding success.
