PRO XI reports significant achievements in crime fighting and community service

THE POLICE Regional Office XI (PRO XI) has announced notable achievements in its campaign against illegal drugs, loose firearms, and fugitives covering the July 2022 to July 2024 period. 

According to the report, the PRO XI arrested 6,333 individuals and seized 18,215.5905 grams of shabu, 87,630.4793 grams of marijuana, 61.1611 grams of kush, and 2,062.367 grams of recovered cocaine. Police also uprooted 6,844 marijuana plants for the two years.

These seized narcotics have an estimated standard drug price value of P146,831,811.17. 

Meanwhile, 185 suspects were also killed in police operations.

In its efforts to apprehend wanted individuals, the police served 10,431 warrants of arrest, detaining 2,641 most wanted persons and 6,696 other wanted persons. Also, five most wanted persons with bounties on their heads were captured.

The crackdown on loose firearms involved 1,080 operations, resulting in the arrest of 3,102 individuals and the confiscation, recovery, or surrender of 617 firearms. The police filed 798 charges in connection to these cases.

To curb illegal gambling, police conducted 4,151 operations, leading to the arrest of 8,117 individuals and the seizure of P2,097,736.10 bet money. Police filed 3,994 cases against the arrested suspects.

Beyond law enforcement, PRO XI focused on community development. A significant milestone is the declaration of the Davao Region as insurgency-free, which they attributed to the success of the Revitalized Pulis sa Barangay (RPSB) program.

The agency also prioritized the welfare of its personnel by establishing a new hospital, the Camp Sgt Quintin M Merecido Hospital, which offers free healthcare to PRO XI personnel and their dependents, moreover, PRO XI has garnered high trust and satisfaction ratings from the community, reflecting its commitment to public service.

To enhance operational capabilities, PRO XI has constructed new police stations and facilities, including the aforementioned hospital. This infrastructure development is aimed at improving service delivery and the overall well-being of the police force.

These accomplishments highlight PRO XI’s dedication to serving and protecting the community while building a safer and more prosperous Davao Region.
