THE POLICE Regional Office (PRO) XI enforced heightened security measures for the upcoming School Year 2025-2026, with over 1,500 police personnel set for deployment across Davao Region to ensure the safety of students, parents, and school staff.
Under the operational guidelines dubbed “Oplan Balik-Eskwela,” PRO XI regional director PBGen Leon Victor Z. Rosete announced intensified efforts to secure not only schools but also airports, seaports, transport terminals, and shopping malls.
The Department of Education has set June 16, 2025, as the official start of classes.
A total of 1,572 Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel will be deployed to these key locations. Additionally, Police Assistance Desks (PADs) will be established to provide immediate assistance and address any concerns.
This initiative highlights the PNP’s commitment to creating a secure learning environment for Filipino students.
Rosete urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or to patrolling officers.
The regional director echoed the guidance from Chief, PNP, PGen Nicolas D. Torre III: “Tulungan Ninyo kaming, tulungan kayo”, emphasizing the importance of community cooperation in ensuring a safe school opening.
