Power disruptions on June 10 and 13 in different parts of Davao City

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on June 10 and 13, Saturday and Tuesday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

These power interruptions are necessary to conduct maintenance works on Don Ramon Transformers 1 and 2.

The first power interruption will be for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on June 10, Saturday, to facilitate the transfer of loads from the affected lines to nearby substations. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 1 hour, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on June 13, Tuesday.

Specifically affected are customers from Gaisano Grand Mall Toril going to Binugao, including Catigan, Sirawan, Baracatan, and nearby areas.

Also affected are customers from Davao Light Office in C. Bangoy St. going to Rizal St., Bonifacio St., J. Palma Gil St., San Pedro St., and A. Pichon St., including Crooked Road, Rizal Ext., Bolton St., Iñigo St., Pelayo St., Ilustre Ext. and neighboring areas; as well those from Teodoro Palma Gil Elem. School along Quirino Ave. going to Matina Town Square, including J.Camus St., J. Abad Santos St., Mabini St., F. Torres St., Tionko Ave., Lopez Jaena St., Ilustre St., Legaspi St., Gov. Duterte St., Gen. Luna St., Gen. Malvar St., Mt. Apo St., Pag-asa St., Mt. Mayon St., San Pedro Ext., Bankerohan Public Market, Marfori St., Gravahan Matina, SIR area, Sandawa, and neighboring areas.

Customers in C.M. Recto Street, from San Pedro Church to Vivaldi Residences, and neighboring areas; those along F. Torres St., from JP Laurel Avenue junction to corner Lopez Jaena St, including RMC Gymnasium, Emilio Jacinto Extension and neighboring areas; as well as those along J.Camus Ext., from Barangay 9-A Hall to corner F. Torres St., and neighboring areas will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Also affected are customers in Arellano Extension near Central Bank, Mt. Apo St up to Davao Doctors Hospital, part of Gen. Luna up to Limso Hospital, part of Mabini St. up to Circumferential Rd. up to Brokenshire Hospital, DCWD warehouse (F. Selga St.); including Mother Ignacia Village, Ipil-Ipil Alley at Madapo Hills, Davao Doctors Hospital, Brokenshire Hospital, Limso Hospital, Central Bank and its neighboring areas.

Customers in a portion of Marfori Heights and a portion of Maa, including Eden Street Maa, from Boss Drive Way Inn to Maa Bridge, along Gold Street San Rafael Maa from Maa Bridge to EMP Village, along Ruby Street Marfori Heights, from EMP Village to Circumferential Road Intersection, and neighboring areas will also experience these service disruptions.

Also affected are customers along Guzman Street, from San Pedro Hospital to Holy Cross of Davao College, including San Pedro Hospital and nearby areas; as well as those along Guerrero Street from Holy Cross of Davao College to Ramon Magsaysay Avenue crossing, and nearby areas; and a portion of Ramon Magsaysay Avenue from Davao City Central Post Office to Bohol Trading, and nearby areas.

Customers in J.P. Laurel Ave., from Carmelite Church up to STI College of Davao, including Carmelite Rd., Margarita Village Rd., Park Ave., Dumanlas Rd., SPMC, Palm Drive, Dacudao Ave., parts of Cabaguio Avenue, Abreeza Mall, Gaisano Mall Davao, parts of Sta Ana Avenue, parts of Villa Abrille Street, and nearby areas; those in the entire Bacaca Road, and nearby areas; as well as those in Davao Light Bajada Office going to Panorama Subd. via Buhangin-Lapanday Rd. and Mandug Rd., including Ladislawa, San Pedro Village, Watusi St., Gladiola St., Col. Palacio St., Circumferential Rd. and neighboring areas.

Customers in the entire Cabantian, Communal, Indangan, and nearby areas will also experience these service disruptions; as well as those in a portion of Buhangin, along Diversion Road from COA Office to Panacan Cemetery; including Catitipan, Davao International Airport, and neighboring areas;  will also be affected by these service disruptions.

Lastly, customers in the entire Panacan, Tibungco, Ilang, Mudiang and Bunawan; including Malagamot, Bosque, and neighboring areas will also experience these service disruptions.

Additionally, the third service disruption will be conducted on June 13, Tuesday, for 1 hour anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. for the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up.

Specifically affected are customers in Bago Aplaya, Bago Gallera, Dumoy, and Toril, including: Ideal Subdivision, Bago Aplaya Landless Association, Divino Compound Bago Aplaya, Bliss Project, Villa Mercedita Bago Aplaya, Balai Bago Aplaya, D’Garden Bago Aplaya, Sto. Rosario Village, Dusnai Subd, Greenland Subdivision, Hinundayan Homes Dumoy Toril, Sison Subdivision, Dacoville Subdivision, Don Lorenzo Homes, DLF Village, Toril Country Homes, Jose Bastida Elem School, Magsaysay Elementary School, Don Juan de la Cruz Elementary School, Davao Central College, Dona Carmen Denia City High School, Dr. P. Ocampo College, Davao Doctors Hospital Dumoy, Mergrande Resort, Paraiso Beach, Dumoy Beach Resort, Mervillas, Waterworld Resort, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers from Dumoy Substation, Bago Aplaya URC to near Phoenix Gas Station Dumoy to Harvey’s Kambingan, and neighboring areas; and those from URC to Lubogan Cemetery Toril, including Gallera de Oro Subdivision, Kaliraya Homes, Spring Valley Subd Bago Gallera, JCEP Village Bago Gallera, Purok 2 Bago Gallera, Susan Homes Baliok, Bagahai Brgy. Baliok and neighboring areas.

Customers in Bago Bridge to UFC Dumoy, Pepsi Cola, Malta Medical Center, and neighboring areas; as well as those in Felcris Toril to Carabao Monument Way Park, Eden-Bayabas Toril, and neighboring areas will also be affected by this service disruption.

Also affected are customers in Toril Proper, Descuatan, Saavedra St., and nearby areas; and Gaisano Mall Toril, and nearby areas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
