Police seize P800-K worth of illegal drugs

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) recovered over P800,000 worth of illegal drugs and arrested six individuals, including two city-level targets, in a 24-hour operation conducted between Dec. 6 and 7. 

Acting city director Col. Hansel Marantan thanked the active support of the community for consistently giving information about individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. The DCPO conducted six successful anti-drug operations within 24 hours.

These operations, carried out by various police stations across the city, resulted in the apprehension of six individuals, including two children in conflict with the law (CICL).  The operations yielded the following:

  • PS1-Sta Ana: Confiscated marijuana leaves with an estimated street value of P465.60
  • PS2-San Pedro: Confiscated shabu with an estimated street value of P317,220.00
  • PS10-Calinan: confiscated shabu residue
  • PS15-Ecoland: Confiscated shabu with an estimated street value of P541,008
  • PS16-Ma-a: Confiscated shabu with an estimated street value of P9,520.

In total, the seized drugs had an estimated street value of P868,520.213.60.

“The DCPO will continue to conduct anti-drug operations to ensure the safety of all Dabawenyos,” Marantan said.
