NABUNTARAN, Davao de Oro – The Provincial Police Office here is investigating the killing of an officer who was shot on Sunday afternoon.
PCol. Benedicto F. Faco, Davao de Oro OIC-Provincial Director, said PMSG Rey Binalangbang was on his way to Monkayo town in a private vehicle when unidentified men fired at him. He was declared dead by Dr. Rodolfo Rimando Jr. at the Montevista Provincial Hospital.
The Monkayo Police Station and all units of Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office are now investigating the case.
Binalangbang was assigned to the logistics department of the Police Provincial Office.
Faco appealed to those who have possible information to coordinate with the police. He condemned the attack and vowed to give resolution to the case.
