PASAY CITY  – The Philippine NGO Council on Population Health & Welfare Inc.  (PNGOC), in partnership with MiracleFeet for the Philippine National Clubfoot Program, has collaborated with Wishes of Aid and Limbs for Kids (WALK) Inc. to bring timely and proper treatment closer to children with clubfoot. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to walk, run, and chase their dreams.

The partnership was made official through a simple yet meaningful ceremonial signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Chi Laigo Vallido, executive director of  PNGOC, and Atty. Eduardo Escano, founding president of WALK Inc.

The event was witnessed by:

This partnership is about more than just providing treatment; it’s about giving children and their families hope. Initially focusing on Aklan and the Panay Island region, the partnership aims to expand its reach to children with clubfoot across the country.

“This collaboration is deeply personal for us,” said Vallido. “It’s about reaching out to every child who needs our help and letting their families know they are not alone. No child should miss  the chance to walk and explore the world.”

Working together to transform lives

Through this partnership, PNGOC and WALK Inc. will ensure that proper and timely treatment is accessible to more families, especially in underserved areas. By addressing barriers such as distance, cost, and lack of awareness, this initiative will give children born with clubfoot the chance to lead healthier, more promising lives.

“Each step a child takes after treatment is a step toward a brighter future,” shared Escano.  “We’re here to make that journey possible for more families, starting in Aklan and Panay Island  and reaching beyond.”
