PIA-XI, SM Davao, and SPMC promote Healthy Media Forum

THE PHILIPPINE Information Agency-XI, SM City Davao, and Southern Philippines Medical Center collaborated to establish the Healthy Media Forum for health information dissemination.

At the Kapehan sa Dabaw, PIA XI regional director Jemin B. Guillermo, together with SM City mall manager Leah Delarmente, and SPMC chief Dr. Richard Audan signed the memorandum of understanding for the Healthy Media Forum on April 8.

SM City Davao officially becomes the venue partner of PIA-XI and SPMC to host the Healthy Media Forum for information dissemination on healthcare programs and advocacies of SMPC every last Monday of the month.

Guillermo highlighted that the media forum is an efficient way of providing the public with timely accurate and relevant information on health as health consciousness is essential.

“This is one of the programs that will provide the public with proactive measures so that they will be educated, they will be more informed of the programs and services of our government, particularly on the health aspect,” she said.

She also added that spreading information is important in society to raise awareness of health issues and concerns, and to promote good physical and mental health.

“So we want to improve the health of our fellow Filipinos and hoping that this Davao Media Forum, the healthy forum that we have, will be another venue for the media and various stakeholders to collaborate and to interact and eventually address the various health issues and concerns,” she said.
