Phoenix remains operational following Typhoon Carina

Phoenix Petroleum has managed to maintain operations in Luzon despite the significant impact of Typhoon Carina. Although not yet at full capacity, the company continues to serve its customers during this challenging period.

“We are committed to being of service to our customers, especially during these difficult times,” said Senior Vice President Atty. Raymond Zorrilla. “Our team is working tirelessly to restore full operations across our sites in Luzon. We want to assure the public that we have conducted thorough quality checks on our products, particularly in the affected retail stations in Luzon, and can confirm that our fuels remain safe for use,” he added.

As of 6 AM today, July 26, 2024, Phoenix has implemented an advance price rollback at its gas stations in Luzon to provide relief to the public in the aftermath of Typhoon Carina. The company remains dedicated to supporting the community and ensuring that fuel supplies are available when they are needed most.

Typhoon Carina, also known internationally as Typhoon Gaemi, struck the Philippines on July 22, 2024. Metro Manila experienced significant rainfall of 472.5 mm in just 24 hours, surpassing the 455 mm recorded during Typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy) in 2009. The typhoon has caused extensive damage across Luzon, and the latest reports indicate that the death toll stands at 21 as authorities continue their relief and rescue operations.
