PhilHealth XI to augment online services

THE PHILIPPINE Health Insurance Corporation XI (PhilHealth) continues to promote the PhilHealth Member Portal (PMP) with the integration of the eGov PH application to provide better online services.

On Wednesday’s Habi at Kape, Philhealth XI public relations officer Kleah Gayle Guevara encouraged the public to register in the PMP as it is available in the eGov PH app for people to access their records, including their contributions, easily.

PMP includes features such as PhilHealth members will be able to member data record (MDR), pay their contributions, and register in the Konsulta package.

Gueverra also said that they continue to actively promote the PMP for the past two years, and introduce the use of the eGov app in public. They also continue to cater traditional services such as face-to-face and walk-in transactions in areas with no online services literacy.

“We do understand that there’s a particular sector in society na hindi pa sila ganon ka literate when it comes to the use of these online services. So we make other means accessible to our members to make sure that they are provided with other options when it comes to availing of PhilHealth services,” she said.

This year, the PMP was included in the eGov PH app developed by the Department Of Information And Communications Technology (DICT) and is available to download on the App Store and Google Play Store.

The eGov PH app can streamline all local and national government services in a single app to advance digital initiatives and improve public service.

She added that they are aiming for universal coverage under the Universal Health Care Law with a 100% target in Davao Region. In their data as of 2023, the region is currently at a 98% registration rate, estimated at more than 5 million individuals.

“So even with the 98% registration rate, we continuously market and inform the public to register themselves with PhilHealth and of course to update their records,” she said.

Last July 5 in the ONE DAVAO Virtual Presser livestream, DICT XI information technology officer III Engr. Virgil Fuentes highlighted the Digital Government Enhancing the Filipino Experience: Empowering Through Digital Governance and introduced the eGov PH application.

The program aimed to improve public and government services as well as to help the Philippines slowly reach the technology level of first-world countries.
