Philhealth XI accredits 96 Konsulta providers

THE PHILIPPINE Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth XI) already accredited 96 Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) package providers in Davao Region.

On Monday’s Kapehan sa Dabaw, Filbert Bryan Sollesta, PhilHealth XI division chief, said they continuously work on adding more Konsulta providers to expand their reach and accommodate more members.

Sollesta urged the public to register for the Konsulta Program and avail of its services, such as the first patient encounter, the initial session where the primary care worker assesses the beneficiary’s health data to identify the health risks.

“It is intended to provide preventive health services, where you can prevent illnesses from getting worse that would require you to get admitted already,” Sollesta said.

He also reminded PhilHealth XI members can register for the program through the local health insurance offices or the Konsulta providers directly. Anyone can download the official list from the agency’s website.

Marie Allexis Campaner, PhilHealth XI Healthcare Deliver Management Division-Benefits Administration Section OIC, said they recorded 45,214 total first patient encounters for Konsulta Program from 2022 to July 31 of this year. Meanwhile, the agency paid the providers P6,454,000 for their services.
