PBBM distributes e-titles to ARBs

By Gio J. Tanudtanud

PRESIDENT Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. distributed electronic land titles (E-Titles) of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) to 2,672 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Davao Region.

During the DAR XI event at the Rizal Memorial College gym on Feb 7, President Marcos personally handed out e-titles covering 3,560 hectares of land.

In his speech, President Marcos vowed to continue to help the farmers, who he described as one of the poorest in the country with the most tiring jobs.

Mahirap naman talaga. Kahit anong gawin natin mahirap ang magsaka. Kaya’t kailangan ng tulong ng ating mga magsasaka ang lahat ng tulong na maibigay ng pamahalaan (It’s really difficult. Our farmers are poor even if the government is doing everything. That’s why our administration is extending every possible assistance to our farmers),” he said.

The distributed e-titles, through the implementation of the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) by DAR, will replace traditional papers, making it more convenient for landowners. The e-titles will also grant the ARBs more accessibility and ensure faster processes.

The SPLIT project, spearheaded by DAR and funded by the World Bank, aims to improve land tenure security and promote equal distribution of agricultural lands in the region.
