Parents seek military aid to claim NPA daughter killed in clash

THE PARENTS of a slain communist guerrilla are seeking help from the military and the Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) in transporting their daughter’s remains back to Muntinlupa City.

The deceased, identified by former rebels as Kaliska Dominica Peralta (alias Rica or Tomboy), was a political officer of the communist terrorist group (CTG) killed in a clash with government forces in Quezon, Bukidnon on April 10.

Her mother, Mrs. Ellen Peralta, confirmed the identity of the killed rebel, who was a 33-year-old former student at UP Diliman and a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Upon learning of the death, Mrs. Peralta requested help from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to transport the remains to Muntinlupa City.

Lt. Gen. Greg T. Almerol, Commander of Eastern Mindanao Command (EastMinCom), expressed condolences and offered aid to the family.

He reiterated the military’s commitment to ending the insurgency and urged remaining CTG members to surrender.

The military transported the deceased’s remains to Davao City before airlifting them to Manila via C-130 on April 13.
