- Couple arrested in high-profile police sting operation
POLICE seized more than P1 million worth of shabu from a couple arrested in a buy-bust operation along Libra Street, GSIS Subdivision, Barangay 74-A, Matina Crossing, on Sunday, March 23.
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), identified the suspects as alias Boss, 41, a resident of Durian Street, Juliville Subdivision, Barangay Tigatto, and his partner, alias Princess, 22, a resident of Tabal Compound, Kawayan Drive, Barangay 74-A.
Tuazon said alias Boss was considered a high-value individual and a top regional-level priority target. In addition to the buy-bust item, police seized two large sachets of shabu from the suspects.
The total estimated street value of the seized drugs was P1,096,900.
Authorities also confiscated P14,000 in buy-bust money, a Nubia brand Android cellphone, a black pouch, and a gray metallic Mitsubishi Mirage sedan.
The suspects are currently in police custody, facing an appropriate charge for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
