LAW ENFORCERS seized P1.7 million worth of illegal drugs at the Sirawan, Toril District checkpoint on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
According to the report, members of the Task Force Davao (TFD) and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) arrested alias Jay, 38, and alias Norie, 23, during the operation.
The two individuals were on board a gray Hyundai Accent when approximately 256.6 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of P1,744,880, were found during a routine inspection.
Col. Darren Comia, Task Force Davao commander, commended the security forces at the Sirawan checkpoint for their vigilance in screening individuals and vehicles entering the city. He emphasized the importance of strict border control to ensure the safety of residents.
The suspects and evidence were turned over to the Toril Police Station for proper disposition.
