Over P1-M in drugs seized in February: DCPO

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) seized more than a million worth of illegal drugs in multiple operations for the entire month of February. 

DCPO chief Col Alberto Lupaz said the law enforcement operations resulted in the confiscation of 205.5470 grams of shabu and 341.3220 grams of marijuana for a total of P1,438,200.64.

Lupaz said police also arrested 54 suspects from the 40 operations they conducted on top of the 69 other individuals who had outstanding warrants. 

Meanwhile, 42 anti-illegal gambling operations led to the arrest of 107 violators and the confiscation of P16,123 in bet money.

Moreover, six individuals were arrested for carrying unlicensed firearms, and three firearms were also confiscated in 16 operations. Another registered gun was surrendered during the same period, Lupaz said.

“These exceptional achievements resonate strongly within the community, standing as a testament to the unwavering dedication of DCPO and the tireless efforts of each PNP personnel,” he added.
