THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) conducted a week-long operation from July 21 to 27, resulting in the arrest of 68 individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs worth over P1.1 million.

In a series of 22 anti-drug operations, 27 drug personalities were apprehended with 173.4985 grams of Shabu (estimated street value P1,179,789.80) and 64.8623 grams of marijuana (estimated street value P7,783.48).

Additionally, 35 operations targeting wanted persons resulted in the arrest of 35 individuals, including 13 most wanted.

The DCPO under the leadership of acting city director Colonel Hansel Marantan, conducted a week-long operation and also cracked down on illegal gambling, arresting three gamblers and confiscating P530.00 in bet money, and seized 3 loose firearms in separate operations.

“We are committed to intensifying our campaign against all forms of criminal activity in the city,” said Marantan.

“These results demonstrate our dedication to upholding the rule of law and ensuring the safety and security of all Davaoeños,” he said.

The DCPO credits the success of these operations to the active cooperation and support of Barangay officials, the community, and the local government unit.
