A TOTAL of 9,188 job vacancies from 82 participating employers are available at four different venues in Davao Region for the Department of Labor and Employment XI’s job fair from April 30 to May 1.
The 2025 Labor Day Job Fair will be held simultaneously in Digos City (Gaisano Grand Mall) and Tagum City (City Hall Atrium) on April 30, followed by Davao City (SM City Davao) and Davao de Oro (Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School) on May 1.
As of April 28, 2025, the number of applications submitted already reached 4,859, including 1,600 pre-registered applicants.
Among the four locations, Davao City has the highest job vacancies at 6,741 (4,701 local, 2,040 overseas), and 45 employers (38 local, 7 overseas). Customer Service Representatives remain the city’s top employer with 1,723 vacancies, a slight increase from last year’s 1,518 vacancies.
Top five destinations for overseas travel are the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Croatia, and Japan. Branch manager is the most in-demand position for these countries, with 558 vacancies.
According to DOLE XI’s Davao Region Labor Force Survey in Jan 2025, the labor force participation rate is 64.2% compared to 2024’s 60.9%. The region’s employment rate is 97.1%, underemployment is 3.3%, and unemployment rate is 2.9%.
