THREE hundred students from Datu Salumay Elementary School received school supplies, slippers, and meals during the iCare outreach program on Aug. 2, 2024, at Barangay Datu Salumay, Marilog District.

The iCare program is the brainchild of the National Police College (NPC) Davao, with the help of the Davao Supreme Eagles Club.

In an interview, NPC Davao campus director PLTCol Leopoldo Recimilla Jr. elaborated on the NPC’s mission to extend the group’s services through an outreach program that helps communities, particularly the less fortunate and in far-flung areas.

Recimilla emphasized why they chose the school, as they found much-needed support in achieving the group’s goal of imparting public service.

He also imparted that iCare reached more than 20 schools, including elementary and high schools, which are the primary focus of the program.

Moreover, Recimilla wanted to emphasize to the youth that the police not only focus on law enforcement but also provide extensive community services.

NPC Davao’s iCare Program encouraged civic organizations to collaborate on its mission and has called on for more volunteers.
