THERE will be no physical activities during the Feast of the Holy Infant Jesus celebration at Shrine Hills on January 15 and 16 as masses will be held online, the police said.

City Police Director Kirby John Kraft the shrine will be closed to the public during the celebration to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as he pointed out that the decision to cancel physical events were made in coordination with the management of the shrine.

“It was agreed natin po and ng Shrine Hills na isasara po nila ang Shrine sa January 15-16 pero may misa po sila online,” Kraft said adding that the decision also followed the order of Mayor Sara Duterte to cancel physical activities.

He said gathering of devotees at the shrine will also entail more resources, particularly personnel who will impose security measures.

‘Maglalagay ng police and security forces sa labas ng Shrine. Sa magtitirik po ng kandila doon lang sila sa labas kagaya po ang ginagawa natin noong nagkaraang taon.,” he said, adding that for those lighting candles, they will only be allowed to do it for a very limited time.
