NCCC, Century Tuna award first Kadayawan Superbods champions  

FITNESS enthusiasts Cain Joaquin of Elevation Fitness Gym and Keisha Sta. Maria of BeatsCycle Fitness Center emerged victorious as the winner of the first-ever Kadayawan Superbods Best YOU Ever competition, held on August 18th at the atrium of NCCC Mall VP.
The fitness competition, a collaborative effort between NCCC Supermarket and Century Pacific Food, Inc. (makers of Century Tuna products), showcased the dedication of local fitness enthusiasts as they live healthier and how they sustain their journey for holistic health with the country’s number one tuna brand.  The event was also graced by Century Tuna Superbods winners, Jether Palomo and Justine Felizarta, adding a touch of star power to the competition.  Felizarta, a Davao City native, also holds the title of Miss World Philippines Tourism 2022.

The judging panel, comprised of Palomo, Felizarta, Century Pacific Foods Regional Marketing Manager Martin Angelo Sunaz, Century Tuna Senior Product Manager Mardi Dator, NCCC Supermarket AVP Peejay Capina, and this writer, assessed the candidates based on their performance in five key categories: self-introduction (10%), casual interview (30%), creativity attire (20%), sports attire (20%), and audience impact (20%).
Special awards were also given to Cain Joaquin and Angel Basio for the Most Creative Attire award, while Sebastein Respicio and Angel Basio took home the Best in Sports Attire title.  Matthew Sy and Angel Basio were declared Crowd Favorites, highlighting their ability to connect with the audience.

Prior to the main competition, the audience was treated to a lively pre-show as part of the mall’s “Kasadya sa Kadayawan” festivities.  Fun games and musical performances by the Queen of Bangsamoro Pop, Shaira (known for her hit song “Selos”), kept the crowd entertained.

The Kadayawan Superbods Best YOU Ever competition proved to be a resounding success, celebrating fitness, talent, and the vibrant spirit of Kadayawan. Kaiser Boado and DJ Yaya Ozawa gamely hosted the event.
