THE DEPARTMENT of Tourism will feature the 2nd Mindanao Tourism Expo at the Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro on April 26-28.
During the Wednesday Habi at Kape at Abreeza Ayala Malls on April 3, DOT XI tourism operations officer Kai Araneta said the theme for this year’s expo will be “Limitless Adventures in Mindanao” focusing on adventures highlighted by each region of Mindanao.
“So from Regions 9 to 13, they will feature on adventure parang aspect of their region so it will be highlighted in our booths as well,” she said.
The expo will be inviting Davao tourism establishments, DOT-accredited entities, and other stakeholders. The exhibitors include accommodation, travel and tour operators, hotels, and others.
Araneta added that they are hoping for more visitors and expo goers to participate, and to increase sales and leads in this year’s expo than last year.
Last year, the first Mindanao Tourism Expo was held at the SMX Convention Center in SM Lanang Premier last Jan 27-29, 2024, with the theme “Colors of Mindanao” highlighting the beauty, diverse culture, and traditions.
