This is based on a recent Pulse Asia survey that revealed from May 6 to 9, 2025, showing
Duterte with a 63% trust rating, Vice President Sara Duterte with a 50% trust rating, and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with a 32% trust rating.
Also, the same survey among 1,200 respondents nationwide found that 58% of Filipinos disagreed with Duterte’s arrest. The figure was broken down into 25% who “somewhat disagree” and 33% who “strongly disagree.”
In contrast, only 26% of the respondents agreed with the former president’s arrest (10% “strongly agree” and 16% “somewhat agree”).
Meanwhile, 16% of the respondents remained undecided.
The survey highlighted the high public awareness surrounding the issue, with a striking 99% of respondents indicating they had heard, read, or watched news about the former President’s arrest.
The nationwide survey had an overall error margin of ±2.8 percentage points, with a 95% confidence level.
