Mati City to Host 2025 Tourism Congress to boost industry collaboration

The City Government of Mati, through its City Tourism and Promotions Office, is set to host the 2025 Tourism Congress on March 21, 2025 (Friday), at 8:00 AM at Sambuokan Hall, City Hall Compound, Mati City, Davao Oriental.

With the theme “Merging Aspirations for a Transformative and Inclusive Tourism Industry,” the congress aims to go beyond discussions by serving as a roadmap for the future of the city’s tourism sector.

The event will bring together key stakeholders, including tourism service providers, cultural representatives, government agencies, public utility providers, sports tourism associations, educational institutions, and youth organizations, to foster collaboration and share insights.

The congress will tackle various topics crucial to the development and growth of the tourism industry, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing, networking, and strategic planning.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogues and strengthen partnerships that will shape Mati’s tourism landscape.

Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat emphasized the importance of the event in driving sustainable tourism development.

“This congress is not just a gathering but a significant step towards ensuring that our tourism industry remains dynamic, inclusive, and transformative,” she said.
