PIMES STUDIO launched its first “Let Your Light Shine Out” musical presentation in celebration of the spirit of Christmas through the lively and cheerful performances of the Voices of the South Children’s Choir (VSCC) at La Herencia on Dec 18 .
Around 30 children from VSCC performed at the event, which spotlights their vibrant talent in singing and music in conveying the message of Jesus Christ as well as the true meaning of Christmas through festive celebration.
In an interview with VSCC conductor Peter Buaya, this first event helps the performers develop into becoming aspiring artists not only in singing but also in acting and dancing to raise their artistry level.
Buaya hopes for it to be annual in order to make room for improvements and for Davao City to be ready for more musical shows to come.
He also noted that the music and arts sector in Davao City is growing, paving the way for developments in music and even the city’s economy.
“Kapag mataas ang high regard for culture and arts, nagpapakita na out city is also economically growing. So, duon makikita natin that culture is very important in the development of our economy,” he said on Dec 18.
