SIX HOUSES were buried in a landslide in Sitio Balite, Barangay Marilog, Marilog District, around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
The report identified the victims as Alex C. Logronio, 38, farmer; Cesar B Ladera, 53; Menyong N Lim, 70; Felix C Logronio, 67; Rosalinda Atawon, 38; Jeffrey I Ompog, 35.
The report added that a Davao Light transformer exploded and burned one of the six houses.
The victims took temporary shelter with their relatives in the same barangay. However, the Department of Social Welfare and Development already coordinated with barangay officials to assess the damage, a requirement for their eligibility to get financial assistance from the government.
