La Herencia launches Davao Art Kollective 2025

LA HERENCIA Davao Art and Events Pavilion kicked off its Davao Art Kollective 2025: ‘The Core’ arts and culture event bringing together emerging artists, students, designers, and creative communities from Feb 26 to Mar 3.

In its 4th run, this year’s Davao Art Kollective theme delves into fundamental elements that drive art, passion, purpose, and cultural identity that gathers a diverse collection of visual art, performances, and interactive experiences as well as emphasizing artistic passion and innovation.

In an interview with La Herencia Davao property manager Wilfred Dexter Tanedo, he expounded that they named it “The Core” as a reminder to go back to the basics, which is serving the community.

He added that the design community joined the event, which became a headstart for them to become active in the art industry.

“We were able to join our literary, our film, and our music communities as well. So, it became a bigger event,” Tanedo said on Feb 26.

The event highlights its activities of art exhibits, live art demonstrations, performance art and music, artist talks, digital and interactive art showcase, photography, film screening, workshops, creative sessions, and an art market including 30 exhibitors and over 100 artists.

Tanedo shared that the art community in Davao City is doing well where artists are actively involved in many activities. However, due to the numerous activities happening, artists also become exhausted and have a difficult time deciding which one they should attend.

The Davao Art Kollective provides artists and other communities the opportunity to showcase their works on a platform without needing to compete with one another.

Davao Art Kollective 2025 is open to the public and will run from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is also in celebration of National Arts Month and the 88th Araw ng Dabaw beginning March 1.
