KINGDOM of Jesus Christ legal counsel Atty. Israelito Torreon has addressed recent allegations of abuse that the victims are now under the witness protection program of the Department of Justice and the existence of so-called “Angels of Death” within the congregation.
“Our response to these issues is clear: the allegations made by these so-called victims are completely baseless and absolutely false. There is no truth to these claims,” Torreon stated.
He called on the alleged victims to examine their conscience and ensure their claims are rooted in truth, not personal gain. “Do not trade your integrity for money, as it would be a grave injustice to yourself and others,” he urged.
Torreon warned that those manipulating the situation for selfish purposes will abandon the alleged victims once they no longer serve their interests.
He also stated that the KOJC will be forced to take legal action and file criminal charges against those tarnishing the reputation of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and the Kingdom Nation.
“This is a time of tribulation for the whole Kingdom Nation. These accusations of abuse, sexual misconduct, child abuse, and other similar complaints are nothing more than political attacks and malicious propaganda. We urge the public not to fall prey to these false narratives,” he said.
Torreon reminded the public that the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty and that the burden of proof rests with the prosecution.
He expressed confidence that Pastor Quiboloy’s innocence would be proven in court.
Regarding the claims about “Angels of Death,” Torreon dismissed them as untrue and preposterous, calling them another attempt to smear the congregation.
He emphasized that the KOJC is a community built on peace, love, and faith, highlighting that during the 16-day KOJC siege, authorities were met with prayers, food, and water, not violence.
“They do not have ‘Angels of Death,’ rather what they have are PRAYER WARRIORS—men and women dedicated to spiritual battle, not violence. It is their faith that sustains them, even in times of persecution,” he asserted.
Torreon concluded by expressing his trust in the judicial process and his belief that justice and truth will ultimately prevail.
