KINGDOM of Jesus Christ (KOJC) lawyer Israelito Torreon questioned the presence of PNP Special Action Forces wearing US patches during Saturday’s operation inside the compound.
“We need clarification from the PNP. Why would they have patches bearing US insignia? This requires an explanation,” Torreon told reporters.
He further questioned, “Does this mean we are now under the control of the US Army or US forces?”
Torreon also criticized the officers, stating, “A policeman of this country should not have been allowed to wear such a patch. What he wears reflects his personality and the fact that he is a policeman of this country.”
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office (PRO) XI spokesperson Major Catherine Dela Rey confirmed the SAF’s involvement in the operation.
Around 2,000 policemen from PRO XI, X, XII, and XIII, including the Special Action Force, participated in the operation to implement the arrest warrant against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy and four other accused.
Regarding the patches, Major Dela Rey said, “The SAF was part of the operation. We are still verifying the matter of the patches.”
“However, it’s common for them to exchange patches as souvenirs when training with other forces,” she added.
