JCL LAKAMBINI Davao urged pet lovers to support and join Mission Possible, an animal welfare initiative, at the Paw Park in SM Lanang this Saturday, July 20.
The all-female organization partnered with SM Lanang and the Office of the City Veterinarian for the event. The Pawsitivity Project, Dog Training Davao, and the Davao Dog Lovers Community also extended support for the project.
Mission Possible is the first event of its kind by the JCI Lakambini. However, the group said that in a Facebook post that Mission Possible is more than simply a celebration. Rather it’s a call to action to build an animal-friendly city.
Participants will receive free souvenir kits such as poop bags, treats, and stickers, as well as event certificates, medals, and discount vouchers.
Also, JCI Lakambini will hold an Inside Out Theme Animal Fashion Show on the same day at SM Lanang Cinema 6, exclusive for cats and dogs, with a registration fee of P499. The winner will get a full groom package.
Aside from the show, there would be a symposium for the morning session for aspiring fur parents on how to properly take care of pets in terms of health and wellness, and share training techniques to create a strong bond with their pets.
Proceeds will go to Pet Avenue Philippines, a local non-profit dedicated to animal rescue and pet awareness.
