By Emmanuel Virgil Albelda UM Intern April 22, 2022 – THE Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) is preparing for the influx of passengers due to the upcoming elections.
In an interview with a radio station, Aisa Usop, DCOTT general manager, said that at present, there are about 600 bus trips being logged, or about 30,000 passengers.
She said she is expecting the number of trips to increase as the voting period draws near even as the average before this week was just about 400 trips.
Despite the city being placed under Alert Level 1, the official also encouraged passengers “to
bring their vaccination card because not all provinces, cities, and municipalities have the same restrictions depending on their alert level status,” Usop said.
Usop also urged passengers to ensure that the follow protocols, particularly the wearing of facemasks, when they board passenger buses at the terminal. The city government has made wearing of facemasks a compulsory policy in public places.
