THE ICT DAVAO Inc. will conduct a “LIVEX UnConference” with a World Cafe concept to discuss industry challenges and innovations at the Pinnacle Hotel and Suites on Mar. 21.
During the Kapehan sa Davao at SM Ecoland, ICT Davao Inc. president Xavier Eric Manalastas announced that the conference will be open to the public. The key speakers will tackle the challenges of the industry in the four sectors they identified for Davao Region.
According to Manalastas, the four sectors identified are agriculture for food security, education, health, and the creatives industry. Representatives from the different sectors are also to be invited to discuss the challenges and possible solutions of the sectors.
Meanwhile, the Mindanao Development Summit in June will discuss solutions or innovations to these same challenges.
“Yun ang magiging target talaga noon. To consolidate resources, identify technologies, and identify innovations that are needed to meet the challenges of the different industries,” he said.
Manalastas added that the LIVEX UnConference is an opening program that leads to another major event for November, the Innovation Summit, which will be conducted in partnership with the Davao City Chamber of Commerce.
“This one is just an opening. This is to highlight what innovations can be done and that those innovations will be promoted in November,” he said.
The conference will start from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and registrations for the conference will cost P500. Registrations can also be made on the official ICT Davao Inc. website.
