- Engineer shot dead while parking in his residence
UNIDENTIFIED hitmen gunned down an engineer while attempting to park his vehicle in his house at Deca Homes Subdivision, Tugbok District at 7:35 p.m. on Friday, April 19.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon withheld the victim’s identity at the family’s request.
Reports said had just dropped off his wife and their daughter before maneuvering his Nissan Patrol to his regular parking spot. Seconds later, the family heard gunshots and rushed outside to find the vehicle smashed into the road shoulder.
Family members immediately checked the bloodied victim, slumped on the chair.
Witnesses reported seeing two men without helmets speeding away on a motorcycle. However, they didn’t get a good look since the perpetrators wore face masks.
The DCPO is investigating the incident to determine the motive and possibly identify the killers.
