A GOVERNMENT employee was among the two individuals arrested in a buy-bust operation by law enforcement agencies at 12:37 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, in Barangay Dahican, Mati City.

The operation targeted alias Angelo, a 37-year-old Mati City LGU employee, and his cohort, identified as alias Adam, according to Nephi Noli Dimaand, the spokesperson of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI.

During the operation, PDEA XI undercover agents, in coordination with the Regional Intelligence Unit XI, Davao Oriental Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEO), and Mati City Police Station, successfully purchased a sachet of suspected shabu from Angelo.

The subsequent search of the suspect’s house yielded two additional sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 10 grams, with an estimated street value of P120,000.
