Fugitive, minor caught in Maco anti-drug bust

Three people, including a minor, were caught in an entrapment operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) XI in Maco, Davao de Oro on Wednesday.

Nephi Noli Dimaandal, the PDEA XI spokesperson, identified them as identified Nadjeeb Apila Huna, John Ray Aligabre, and alias Aineer.

Huna has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 3, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro.

They were arrested after they allegedly sold two sachets of shabu worth P5,000 to an operative in Barangay Hijo, Maco, Davao de Oro at 2:30 p.m. on June 10. Also taken from their possession were six sachets of suspected shabu, weighing more or less four grams, an empty sachet with shabu residue, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the marked bill.

Reportedly, the fugitive Huna managed to elude arrest in July 2015 after the implementation of the search warrant against him at their residence in Sta. Cruz, Kingking, Davao de Oro.

Huna and Aligabre will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), and Section 12 (Possession of Drug Paraphernalia), Article II of Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the rescued minor will be turned over to the Quick Response Team for Children’s Concern for discernment and other interventions.
