A FORMER communist rebel group member was arrested in connection to his murder try case during an operation by the police in Paquibato District on Friday, May 31.
The suspect was identified as Ariel Cabaluna Obrador, a 28-year-old former member of the communist terrorist group Pulang Bagani Command 1-Southern Mindanao Regional Command.
Obrador was apprehended on a warrant of arrest for attempted murder at Purok Brilliant Gate, Barangay Malabog, Paquibato District. The warrant carries a recommended bail of P120,000.

Indeed, every operational accomplishment signifies the undying dedication and commitment to service of every Pulis Dabawenyo,” said Brigadier General Aligre L. Martinez, the Davao police regional director.
“This arrest is a testament to the tireless efforts of our Davao police officers,” he added.
Obrador is currently detained at the Paquibato Police Station awaiting proper disposition.
