A FIRE broke out and razed seven houses in Purok Manrubang, Barangay Dumoy at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
The blaze damaged five houses before it was extinguished by firefighters from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) with the assistance of volunteers.
The Davao City Police Office report showed that the fire’s origin was traced to an improvised firewood stove in the dirty kitchen of Rodulfu Hoñez Diongson, 67, the purok leader.
The other victims were identified as Rebecca Manayao, Chunalyn Martin, Rosalinda Tampus, Rolando Cangas, and Regelio Cangas, according to the report.
The estimated cost of the damage has reached more or less P200,000. Fortunately, no casualties were in the incident.
