FORMER Philippine Sports Commission chairman William Ramirez hopes to get justice for his former executive assistant Lilian Nieva, who was found murdered with 44 stab wounds inside her home on Sept. 29.
“Pray gyud mi naay justice iyang kamatayon. Nag hope gyud ko sa DCPO, NBI sa ilang investigation, ang tibuok syudad under the leadership of Mayor Baste Duterte. Importante sya ma resolve kay ang Davao baya famous sya usa ka syudad na peaceful (We really pray that there will be justice for her death. I really pin my hopes on the DCPO and NBI in their investigation, the whole city under the leadership of Mayor Baste Duterte. It is important to resolve it because Davao is famous for being a peaceful city),” Ramirez said during an interview during his visit at Nieva’s wake on Monday evening.
“Nanghinaut jud ko na makatabang ang PNP sa Davao City sa investigation nag hope sad ko na makatabang ang [NBI] regional director Archie Albao ug tibuok NBI ug kang Mayor Baste Duterte, faculty members, women advocate, kay si Lilian was working with former Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and Sara Duterte,” he added.
Nieva was brutally murdered inside her house and discovered by her younger brother last Sept. 29, in a subdivision in Barangay Bago, Talomo District.
In an interview on Tuesday, City Police Office director Col Alberto Lupaz said they already have persons of interest in the killing of Nieva.
However, Lupaz did not disclose further information as the investigation is ongoing.
Also, he said that a meeting transpired on Tuesday afternoon to present the report of the investigation of the case by the Baliok Police Station commander.
Nieva was found dead and brutally murdered inside her house in Deca Homes Talomo. In the parallel investigation launched by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), it was learned that the victim’s iPhone 12 and an undetermined amount of assorted jewelry were missing.
