THE NATIONAL Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) XI will hold the Elderly Filipino Week on October 1-7, 2023 at  SM City Davao.

The weeklong celebration is anchored on Proclamation No. 470, Series of 1994, issued by former president Fidel V. Ramos, declaring the first week of October as Elderly Week.

The opening of bazaars on Oct. 2  inside SM City Davao will feature products for senior citizens, and continuous online registration for PhilHealth, Social Security ID, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) form, as well as Office for Senior Citizens Affairs ID, will be on Oct. 3.

On Oct. 4, the event will conduct a senior citizens’ legacy tree-planting in Matina Aplaya and Matan-ao, Davao del Sur, following a medical mission on Oct. 5, participated by the local government units and other partner agencies.
