POLICE arrested eight suspects in separate buy-busts from Oct. 8 to 9.
Under the command of acting director Col. Hansel Marantan, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) continued its efforts to combat the scourge of illegal drugs and bring those involved to justice.
Five anti-illegal drug operations were carried out by the following police stations, resulting in the apprehension of eight drug personalities and the confiscation of shabu valued at P105,264:
- PS2-San Pedro: Confiscated shabu valued at P48,620.
- PS4-Sasa: Confiscated shabu valued at P1,972.
- PS5-Buhangin: Confiscated shabu valued at P13,192.
- PS7-Paquibato: Confiscated shabu valued at P7,684.
- PS17-Baliok: Confiscated shabu valued at P33,796.
Marantan acknowledged the support of barangay officials, the community, and the local government unit in this campaign.
“Illegal drugs significantly contribute to crime in various areas. Therefore, the DCPO will continue its operations against illegal drugs to provide a safer environment for all Davaoeños,” he said.
