EastMinCom conducts joint MOBEX to strengthen reserve force preparedness

THE EASTERN Mindanao Command (EastMinCom), through its Joint Trainings and Reservists and Retirees Affairs Offices, conducted this year’s Joint Ready Reserve Force Planning with Mobilization Exercise (MOBEX) training at Naval Station Felix Apolinario in Davao City from Sept. 23 to 27.

EastMinCom spokesperson Major Salvacion Evangelista said reservists from various units, including the Army Reserve Command, Regional Community Defense Groups, Air Reserve Centers, Philippine Coast Guard, and Joint Special Operations Force -1, participated in the activity.

The MOBEX training gender and development awareness, tactical combat casualty care, marksmanship familiarization, mission planning on maritime operations, CBRN familiarization, close-quarters battle, and maritime interdiction with VBSS.

These exercises aimed to enhance the readiness and capabilities of the reserve force, ensuring they can seamlessly integrate with the Regular Force when needed.

During the closing ceremony, Col. Ruben Matillano, representing EastMinCom commander LtGen. Luis Rex D. Bergante, emphasized the importance of the training.

“We are strengthening the interoperability between our Regular and Reserve Forces and ensuring that our personnel are prepared to face any contingency with efficiency and dedication. By focusing on ground-level responses to critical situations, we reinforce the vital role that our reserve units play in the overall mission of safeguarding our nation’s sovereignty,” he stated.
