THE EASTERN Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) celebrated the 34th AFP Code of Conduct Day on November 4, 2024, at Headquarters EastMinCom, Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan, Davao City. Officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources joined the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in this commemoration.
The event was highlighted by the simultaneous renewal of the pledge of allegiance to the AFP Code of Conduct, led by Capt. Junjie B. Tabuada PN, acting commander of the Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM). This act reaffirmed the commitment of all personnel to uphold the AFP’s core values of honor, service, and patriotism.
In a message read by LtGen. Luis Rex D. Bergante PA, EastMinCom commander, the Chief of Staff of the AFP (CSAFP) Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. PA emphasized the significance of the AFP Code of Conduct in shaping the AFP’s identity and guiding its actions.
“As we carry out our duties, let us always remember that our conduct reflects not only on ourselves but also on the entire Armed Forces of the Philippines. Let us collectively strive to be role models of excellence, lead with purpose, and ensure that our actions align with the highest ideals of our profession,” Gen. Brawner stated.
LtGen. Bergante further emphasized the importance of professionalism and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain discipline, efficiency, and integrity in all military operations.
“Professionalism is an individual responsibility. As we serve in the military, let us follow the Chain of Command and uphold the highest standards of conduct,” Bergante said.
